Dr. Jim Robey, an Elder in the North Alabama Conference, is the  first UM clergy to be officially endorsed by the UMC for the Ministry of Life Coaching. He is appointed to an extension ministry as Executive Director and Ministry Missioner of Attentional Growth Inc.. Jim brings a passion for helping ministers become more of who they are called by God to be.
Jim is certified through the Coaches Training Institute, credentialed by the International Coach Federation, and endorsed by the United Methodist Endorsing Agency. His coaching clients have included pastors and District Superintendents in the Southeastern Jurisdiction, Maryland, Missouri, Maine and Canada. Additionally he teaches Coaching Skills Tele-Classes for the Intentional Growth Center at Lake Junaluska.

Coaching through which he offers coaching to pastors, District Superintendents and others who are motivated to grow in life fulfillment. Chris has 25 years of experience as a pastor, over 400 hours of coaching experience and is in his fourth year serving as the District Superintendent of the Annapolis District of the Baltimore Washington Conference. He is currently nearing the end of the process of becoming ICF certified. Chris is also an accomplished watercolor artist and his work is offered for sale online at 
transformational communities which invite participants to go deeper and live bigger lives. He has received coaching and leadership training from the Coaches Training Institute, and has also received training in spiritual companionship from the Washington National Cathedral. He is now serving in his fourth year as the Director of Connectional Ministries for the Baltimore-Washington Conference and has helped develop the conference’s discipleship strategy. 
Growth Center (IGC) at Lake Junaluska, NC. Before coming to IGC, he served as senior pastor of several large churches and on the conference staff in the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
