The Congregational Resource Guide website has an interview with North Alabama Conference clergy Rev. Dr. Jim Robey. In the interview Robey, founder of Attentional Growth Inc, discusses ways that clergy can respond to stress—as well as ways that congregations can support clergy self-care. Dr. Robey explains the importance of open and trusting friendships, staff retreats, and support groups. His bottom line: "self-care allows us to use our humanity for the ministry of God."
